WHAT TO WEAR // THANKSGIVING DINNER

I LOVE Thanksgiving. It's such a wonderful day of gratitude and warmth and three of my favorite things: loved ones, good food and wine. Picking out an outfit for dinner can also be fun - something a little bit dressy but not too tight (must leave room for turkey belly!) with a little bit of festiveness thrown in. I've already picked out my outfit for Thanksgiving dinner and I created a similar version to share here on the blog!

1. A simple cocktail dress in a seasonal color and a thicker fabric (like brocade) is perfect, like this affordable dark green one from Target.
2. A bright orangey-red smile adds a pop of color. Try Heat Wave from Nars (one of my personal favorites!).
3. Opaque navy tights can make your dress more weather-appropriate.
4. Don't forget to bring the pies! And pie boxes for leftovers!
5. These metallic pointy flats provide comfort while adding some fun bling.
6. An autumn bouquet makes a perfect hostess gift!
7. Create a bracelet stack of mixed metallics as an accessory.
8. A poppy manicure ties in to the lip color and adds another bold touch. Essie's Meet Me At Sunset is another personal favorite!

Add a cream cardigan for an extra layer of warmth (the days are getting brisk down here in the South!). And try out THIS DIY for a Gold Wishbone Necklace to add a bit of humor and festiveness to your look!
